Dr. Ricketts is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Parenting Consultant, who operates a private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He has been providing counseling/psychotherapy and related services since 1997; he speaks Spanish fluently, and enjoys working with multi-cultural clients. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, Nova Southeastern and Argosy Universities, with a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. He has authored books on parenting and fatherhood; he supervises Counseling Interns, and he consults regularly on fatherhood, parenting and divorce-related matters.

Being a Jamaican American, and having worked extensively throughout the Caribbean/Latin American area, I work particularly well with clients from this region.

I specialize in working with parenting concerns in general, but more specifically those related to fatherhood. I facilitate fatherhood groups, and I consult on fatherhood matters. I also teach classes for divorcing or divorced parents, and I conduct group sessions with children of divorce.

I speak Spanish fluently, but I conduct my sessions in English. I have convenient hours; I accept most EAP and health insurance plans, and I have a sliding fee arrangement for clients with financial concerns."
